Meet Cherish

Cherish meets the creative body as sacred ground.  Her movement arises from within, shaped by cycles, intuition, and the stories the body is ready to tell. Her work—on stage and in circle—is a tapestry of ritual, sensuality, and courage. It invites others to step gently yet boldly into their own unfolding.

She honors the teachers and visionaries who came before her, whose wisdom threads through her work—yoga lineages, mystics, philosophers, and artists alike. Their voices, alongside her lived experience, form a remembrance that continues to inspire her path.

Cherish believes in the quiet bravery it takes to be seen, truly seen. In the beauty of process over polish. In the power of softness to stir what is fierce and real. She walks with those who feel the call to return to themselves, through movement, mystery, and the medicine of being witnessed in full, holy expression.

Cherish moves at the threshold of two worlds—between the seen and unseen, the polished and the primal, the sacred and the sparkling. She is a transformational artist, space holder, and neo-burlesque performer whose work is rooted not in performance for applause, but in revelation as devotion.

Her journey into burlesque began as an initiation, guided by Kellita, the Showgirl Shaman, who midwifed her remembering; that this path was never about becoming someone else, but about coming home. To the body. To the breath. To the truth shimmering just beneath the surface.

Cherish’s art is a remembering. Each gesture a beckoning whisper from the soul. Each article of clothing shed an unveiling of heart. Each performance a weaving of lived experience, longing, and luminous return.

With nearly two decades of yoga practice and somatic inquiry,

In The

Sacred Sequin is more than a workshop; it is a path of personal knowing and embodiment.

This path is not born in isolation. It is an assimilation of truths  encountered in multiple forms and contexts, braided into one stream. My roots sprouted through Foundations of Spiritual Development, and were nurtured by the wisdom of yoga teachers Jazmine Tarkeshi, Alex Crow, Janet Stone, and Jordan Smiley. I have been supported by Bailey Johnson and Jenna Basilicato of Rooted Expansion, and inspired by the writings and teachings of Caroline Myss, Anodea Judith, Richard Rudd, Elizabeth Gilbert, Rollo May, Alberto Villoldo, Kia Ra, along with others whose voices continue to shape my practice. Last, and certainly not least,  Kellita Maloof, the Showgirl Shaman, is the creator of Burlesque from the Inside Out—a seminal program that has deeply shaped and permeated Sacred Sequin. While I am not a certified teacher of her method, the essence of her work has profoundly influenced the way this offering has come to life. View Kellita's website, www.showgirlawakening.com, and if you have the chance to work with her - do so!

At its heart, this work seeks the meeting place between yogic philosophy, wisdom of the subtle body, and the generative force of creativity; a confluence where new patterns can take shape, and where the act of being witnessed in a practiced, grounded and vibrant version of self becomes a catalyst for growth and change.
